Family Feud is a popular TV show. The game involves two families (teams) that compete with each other by answering survey questions. The goal of the game is to guess the most popular answers to the given questions which were pre-answered by a group of respondents. In our version, teams get one point for winning a round with a particular question. After a set number of rounds, the team with the highest score wins. Lots of fun and emotions guaranteed! IMPORTANT! Rules of the game
1. Create teams
Divide the participants into two teams.
2. Choose the Game Master
Choose the Game Master from the list of available people to continue. The Game Master will control the game and read the questions out. The Game Master must add replies in the provided field to be able to move on with the game. You can add propositions of replies and display all the answers if the players fail to guess them. The Game Master also keeps track of wrong answers in every round. It is also recommended for the Game Master to add a bit of suspense and noise/sounds before saying whether an answer is correct or not.
3. Decide on the way in which participants will “buzz in” to say the answer.
At the beginning of each round of Family Feud, the Game Master invites person from every team to the face-off. Decide on the method in which you will “buzz in” to the questions read out by the host; it can be by tapping on the tabletop or a plush toy or grabbing an item lying in the middle of the table. You can think creatively!
4. Who is to guess the keyword
After reading out the question, two contestants try to give their answer on a first come first served basis. The person who “buzzed in” first has 3 seconds to give their answer. The game leader verifies whether the given answer is among the correct ones and, if yes, how high it ranked. If the player gives the highest-ranked answer, their team take over the question and can continue guessing the other answers. If the answer is on the second or lower position, the player from the opposite team has a chance to take over the question for their team, but they must give an answer that will be higher in the scoreboard. If they fail, the first player wins the face off and takes over the question for their team.
5. Guessing the answers by the team.
Here, you can always guess the keywords together, constantly debating, or use the Family Feud system where participants give their answers one by one.
6. Wrong answers
If the given answer is not on the list, the host or all participants must mark/count that team’s one wrong answer in the round. After 3 wrong answers, the opposite team has the chance to take over the point for the round.
7. Point take-over
After 3 wrong answers, the opposite team can jointly decide on only one answer to the current question. If the answer is on the scoreboard, they take over the point for that round. However, if their answer is incorrect, the point goes to the team who originally won the face-off.
8. Next round
After deciding on the team that won the round, choose next contestants from each team for the face-off and start a new round 😊
